Mothers of the boy and girl who were flogged by Bishop Daniel Obinim in front of a congregation over alleged acts of fornication have supported the action by the bishop.

Obinim flogs adolescents for fornicating

In an exclusive interview with Joy news mother of the young girl said said she will ink curses on anyone who will attempt to cause the arrest of the pastor.

If Ghanaians do not stop condemning the pastor for correcting the children I will begin to invoke curses on them,” the 72-year-old woman threatened.

The girl’s mother, Akua Bempomaa who is also a member of the church feels the belting was not enough.

Papa should have beaten her more. Imagine what would have happened if the prophecy had not come and she drunk the medicine to abort the baby,” she added.

Her decision has also been supported by the mother of the boy. Both women say  they supported the decision by the bishop to flog their adolescent children.

Both mothers were present in the Cathedral, Wednesday evening when the Bishop removed his belt, whipped the young couple and later invited one of his right hand men to join in the whipping.

The whipping was captured in a video that has now gone viral on social media.
